About Damocles

Rudhen-Electronics proudly presents Damocles, a life-saving App for the Android platform to prepare and handle potential emergency situations.

The powerful idea behind Damocles is that it is better to be pro-active for any emergencies to expand than passively wait until a - anticipated - emergency occurs.

We all do something a little risky once in a while, such as a job on a high ladder, a hike in a remote area, or a nightly bike ride through a dark forest. Risky ventures usually go well but unfortunately sometimes not.

In case of emergency, speed is of utmost importance, and Damocles helps precisely hereby to warn the emergency services as soon as possible.

The Damocles application consists of two input sections: one for the risky venture that is about to happen to define and plan, and the second part is a medical passport for emergency services to consult if things went wrong.

If everything went well you can turn the alarm simply off. If we forget this, then Damocles can be set to give a warning signal, one minute before expiry of the time. If the venture fails, however, then Damocles has life-saving work to do.

The contact with the emergency services is via SMS and email. The timing of the emergency services can be specified by yourself as well as the data that will be sent. Thus we can directly enclose the medical passport, and if present, a GPS position.

The emergency services, which you can compose yourself from your contact list, can be divided into 3 groups, always with a certain (adjustable) time interval.
